Featured Potter: Tracy Sutton

Please join us to celebrate Tracy's “Potter’s Spotlight” with a reception on April 6, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at our Church Street Studio in downtown Waynesboro.

April’s Featured Potter is guild member is Tracy Sutton, who combines a love for painting and ceramics to produce a wide variety of hand-painted functional pottery.

Although Tracy has been painting and drawing most of her life, she was introduced to pottery three years ago when her daughter asked if she wanted to take a beginning ceramics class at Wilson College. What began as an opportunity to spend time with her daughter, quickly developed into a passion for the ceramic arts.  Tracy has been “slinging mud” ever since.

Tracy and her husband Scott live in Greencastle, PA, with their two children, Lindsey and Garrett.  Employed by Johnson Controls as a Mechanical Engineer, Tracy spends her free time throwing pottery at home with two of her biggest fans and pet dogs, Rose and Pepper, by her side.

In addition to supporting her pursuit of the arts, the two Labradors have also inspired the name of her home and online art business, Black Pepper Rose Arts.
