The 2016 John Bell Reproduction
The Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies (NCCS) is very pleased to announce that it will, once again, be offering its annual series of Bell Family Reproductions this fall.
This year's reproduction is a John Bell mug, recreated by Mike McIntyre, of FireRobin Pottery, in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
The original was a lead-glazed earthenware mug measuring four inches tall by three and a half inches wide with flecks of iron and “JOHN BELL” stamped on the bottom. It is currently in Thomas Heefner's private collection.
Orders may be placed by emailing Mary Ashe-Mahr at firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost is $60 per mug plus $3.60 sales tax for NCCS members and $65 plus $3.90 sales tax for nonmembers.
Below are a few of the John Bell reproductions created in a limited addition by James Smith, executive director of NCCS until 2014.
