To become a Nicodemus Center of Ceramic Studies, NCCS, guild member you must either enroll in an Introduction to Wheel Throwing or Hand Building pottery class or have current pottery experience with the appropriate knowledge to allow you to work independently and safely in a ceramic arts studio.
The Ceramic Arts Center, at 13 South Church Street in Waynesboro, PA is a 24/7 studio. Guild members have access to the studio at any time during the day or night, 2 shelves to store pottery and tools, clay, glazes and firing are included.
The Penn State Mont Alto studio, Room 008 in the General Studies building, is a fully equipped ceramic arts center and operates on the same schedule as the University. Generally from 8:00-9:00 Monday -Saturday. It is closed on Sundays and Holidays. Members have access to clay, glazes and firings.
Both studios offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guild Membership rates for each studio are listed.
