225.00

A beginner Wheel Throwing class will be held at the Ceramic Arts Center Pottery Studio from 5:00-8:00 on Monday evenings: June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24 and July 8th.

Throughout this course, Teens, ages 13-17 and adults, will learn the principles of throwing on the wheel and the life cycle of ceramics. The class will focus on the steps to create basic forms, such as cups and bowls that will build the foundation to create a variety of pots.

Finally, students will learn how to finish and glaze their pieces, creating ready to use, functional art!

The 15 hour course is limited to 5 students and is geared towards students with little or no experience throwing on the wheel.  An additional 6 hours of weekend open studio time to practice their skills will be offered during the session.

Course fees include step by step, hands-on guided instruction, by Lexi Shockey, additional materials, glazes and firings. A minimum of three students must register to hold the class.
